Are Energy Efficiency Grants Available In Northern Ireland?

In support of the drive towards net zero the Government in Northern Ireland provide a number of different grants to help with the cost of installing domestic insulation and energy efficiency measures.

NISEP - NI Sustainable Energy Programme

NISEP is a fund that collects money from domestic and commercial electricity customers throughout Northern Ireland via a public service obligation.

Some £8m is financing various domestic energy efficiency schemes with funding available for a range of energy efficiency improvements.

AWS - Affordable Warmth Scheme

The Affordable Warmth Scheme addresses the effects of fuel poverty and energy inefficiency in Northern Ireland.

The scheme is directed at low income households who own or privately rent a home and provides grant aid for energy efficiency improvement measures.

BRS - Boiler Replacement Scheme

The Department for Communities has announced the closure of the Boiler Replacement Scheme and applications will no longer be accepted.

They will continue to progress the grant payment for those customers who have already received formal approval.
